This is actually two tips in one that my friends told me about. I agree with Shannon (at Rocks in my Dryer), that having best friends to share everything with and learn new stuff from is absolutely what works for me! So here are my two tips (learned from Karen and Tiffany):
Gas is almost always cheaper at Super Walmart than any other place. Most people know that. But you can get $.03 off the advertised price if you use a Walmart gift card to buy the gas. With gas so high, that $.03 can make a big difference over time. But most people have two minor inconveniences in continuing to buy and keep up with the gas cards.
Karen bought one card and wrote "GAS" over the front of it with a sharpie. It goes into her wallet and she only uses it for gas at the Walmart stations.
Tiffany found a solution to my biggest problem. Usually when I want to buy gas, I don't want to have to go into the store to put more money on the card just to get the $.03 discount. But if you call the 1-800 number on the back of your card you can load money onto the card straight from your bank debit card. So, now if you are like me, you can pull out your "GAS" card and load money on it when you pull up to the pump, no need to go into the store!. That works for me!

I live in Orange City, I wish there was a WalMart gas station here. That would be nice. It's almost 10 cents cheaper across the bridge in Sanford, so I usually get gas when I have errands to run over there. Saves a little money.
This is a great tip! Thank you! I always hate having to get my son out of the car to run in only to put money on a gift card to get gas. So we either go somewhere else for gas, just get gas without the 3cent discount or end up buying more things at Walmart that we didn't need!
We buy almost all of our gas at WalMart, but I had no idea that you could load the card that way. If I don't go in the store, I'll save a bundle and my DH will get to just go pump the gas and leave. This will delight him, he hates to go in the store. Thanks a million!

If you have a Sam's Club card it's five cents off at the WalMart / Sam's stations.
I get mine at Kroger. With the Kroger 123 Card you get .15 cents off the price and generally the regular price is .01 cent cheaper than anyone else.
You get .03 off with just your kroger card.
For every 100 dollars worth of groceries your get .15 cents off.
We love the discount, you cant beat it.

I would love to load my card over the phone! I called the number and it didn't give me the option. All of my cards have this number on the back 1-888-537-5503. Is there a different one to call?
My husband gets the gas and groceries on his way home to help save money. It would be great if he didn't have to bother reloading.
