Next Week at CVS: Smokin' Good Deals

Beginning Sunday, August 3rd, there will be some really great deals at CVS. I'm really, really excited because we can get free Pert Plus shampoo, free Sure deodorant, free Colgate and cheap Crest toothpaste, free Cover Girl makeup, cheap Chex Mix, and cheap Dawn dish soap. Yippee!!!

Here is the scoop on how to score these deals:
1. Some of the coupons that match the sale will come out on Sunday, so buy a couple of newspapers.
2. Other coupons came out earlier in the summer so if you have been collecting newspapers you should have some of them.
3. If you don't collect the newspapers but want to get in on the deals you can order some coupons from a clipping service. I use The Coupon Clippers (advertisement at the top of the page:) but you can also check The Coupon Master or Ebay.

Here are the coupons you need:
From Sunday, August 3rd:
Dawn dish soap
Pert Plus Shampoo
Crest Toothpaste
Covergirl makeup

From earlier:
Sure deodorant Buy One, Get One Free (Available at the Coupon Clippers)
Powerade $1 off any
Colgate Total $1 off from July 27 (Available at the Coupon Clippers)

To Print:
$1 off Chex Mix

Here are the details:
**Pert Plus will be BOGO at $3.99 There will be $2 off coupons in this week's paper. Use two coupons and get both free (NO Limit)
**Sure Deodorant will be BOGO. Use a BOGO coupon and get both free (No limit)
**Covergirl Makeup (foundation, powder, blush) will be BOGO. There will be BOGO coupons in this week's paper. Use 1 coupon and get both products free (No Limit)
**Colgate Total toothpaste will be $2.99 and get $2 Extra Bucks back. Use a $1 off coupon and get it free after coupon and Extra Bucks (Limit 2)
**Crest toothpaste will be $2.49 and get $1.49 Extra Bucks. There will be coupons in this week's paper for $.75. Use the coupon and pay just $.25 after Extra Bucks (Limit 5)
**Dawn dish soap will be $.88, there will be $.50 off coupons this weekend. Make them $.38 each!
My Plan:
1. I ordered 10 Sure BOGO coupons and 10 Colgate coupons from The Coupon Clippers. I will share some of them with my sister. I plan to buy 5 Sunday newspapers.
2. First Transaction
5 Crest Toothpastes
Total: $12.45
Use 5 $.75 coupons
Pay: $8.70 plus tax
Get back: $7.40 in Extra Bucks
Second Transaction:
10 Sure Deodorants
2 Colgate Toothpastes
10 Covergirl Products

If a CVS deal (i.e. Covergirl deal) is BOGO and you have a BOGO manf. coupon, does that really cancel one another out to make the items free?

Thanks!

Yes, the BOGOs cancel each other out. The store pays for one, the manufacturer the other and you pay nothing. It was confirmed last week by corporate. But if you feel weird about it you can get 4 products and use 1 BOGO coupon. This way you actually pay for 1 item and get 3 free.

Hope this helps!

I just got started and I was wondering: the monthly book at CVS has the childrens tylenol free after ECB's. I was able to print a $1 off coupon from advil.com. Is this the best deal or should I wait for a better deal to come maybe next month? How do you make sure you get the best deal from week to week?
