For those with kids who have a need for the Texas Instruments TI-83 or TI-84, you can snag at great deal at Office Depot. I haven't seen my daughter's 6th grade supply list yet but many other moms at Fishing For Deals have said that their kids began using these in middle school. I'm gonna have to jump on this, even if she doesn't need it for a year or so!
The TI-83 is item # 905739
And is $99.99
Use coupon code 88440125 for $25 off $75
Go thru Ebates and get an additional 3% back! If you are new to Ebates you will get a $10 bonus for your first purchase thru them! If you are already an Ebates users then you know that when you combine sales, coupon codes, rebates, and Ebates Cash back you have gotten a Home Run deal!
So here's how it breaks down:
originally $99.99
minus $25.00 coupon code
Total out of pocket $75
Get 3% back from ebates brings it down to $72.75
Get back $50 in rebates
Total cost= $22.75 for a $100 calculator that will last for many, many years!

4 frugal-minded friends say:
Wow, what a deal! Still, it's hard to believe that schools are making kids buy $100 calculators (even if they are going to use them for years - although, I still have my high school calculator).
I'm curious...can both rebate forms be used? I notice they say "Limit one mail-in savings per household/business" and I'm curious if they would disallow them both. Any thoughts???
I'm wondering if anyone else has had problems with the coupon code from Office Depot Online. I received a confirmation e-mail stating my order had been placed, then they cancelled my order because the coupon code doesn't work on technology items. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Kristy – I placed my order on 7/29 and received it 7/31 with no problem! If I end up keeping it, I’m only going to send in one of the rebates because I think it will cause problems sending in both. However….an even better deal for me! One of our runners at work sent out a text to several friends in his fraternity and has already found me one for free! He’s looking for another as I have twins that BOTH need one! He said it is not at all unusual for college kids to just give them away once they graduate. Who knew??? Certainly not their Moms who paid for them! LOL!! Not much help for you, I’m afraid!
